About The Event
Join us for a screening of the classic 1948 Technicolor film, which tells the story of Robert Falcon Scott's ill-fated attempt to be the first to reach the South Pole. Directed by Charles Frend, Scott is played by John Mills, with a supporting cast which included James Robertson Justice, Derek Bond, Kenneth More, John Gregson, Barry Letts and Christopher Lee. The film is also famous for its music, composer by one-time Marylebone resident Ralph Vaughan Williams that was later reworked into his Sinfonia Antartica.
