Conversation and music by composers associated with the neighbouring Royal Academy of Music. A unique opportunity to hear direct from the composers themselves and to chat with them in person after hearing their music. International counter-tenor Andrew Watts has long associations with many living composers, and recently launched his NMC recording ‘The Counter-tenor Songbook’. He is thus the perfect ambassador to lead us on this fascinating journey. The performance will include new commissions from Joseph Howard, Philip Cashian, current RAM students Louise Drewett and Geoffrey King, as well as music by Thomas Ades, Roxanna Panufnik, Joby Talbot, Paul Patterson, Nico Muhly and Judith Weir.
